Unauthenticated administrator takeover via exposed installation wizard
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 19, 2026
Missing authentication in UVdesk Community Skeleton 1.1.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to seize administrator control. ConfigureHelpdesk wizard POST routes remain reachable after installation and accept unauthenticated database settings and super-user credentials. Network access to the wizard endpoints is sufficient to rewrite DATABASE_URL and create a SUPER_ADMIN account, granting full instance control.
