Restricted-field disclosure via subquery permission bypass
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Twenty before 2.35.0 allows remote authenticated users to read restricted CRM fields through GraphQL groupBy queries. GroupByWithRecordsService.addPartitionByToQueryBuilder strips the executed query's aliases until TypeORM marks it as a subquery, causing getTargetEntityAndOperationType to skip field and row validation. Object-record read access with an explicit field-read denial is sufficient to disclose that field's live value; no administrator role or user interaction is required.
