Cross-organization metadata disclosure via creator-scoped queryset
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Incorrect authorization in OpenCVE before 3.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read organization metadata through its REST API. OrganizationViewSet.get_queryset filters organizations by request.user, which is the token creator, rather than authenticated_organization. An organization-scoped token issued by a creator who belongs to multiple organizations is required, and exposure is limited to organization identifiers, names, and timestamps.
