Unauthenticated operator API access via exposed SignalR hub
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Authentication bypass in Cobbr Covenant 0.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to access the operator API with a server-signed JWT. The CovenantHub SignalR endpoint lacks an Authorize attribute, so CreateHttpListener accepts anonymous calls and returns a signed Listener-role token. Network access to the web interface is sufficient; the token exposes grunts, credentials, binaries, events, and operator data through APIs that accept any authenticated JWT.
