Course takeover via preserved POST ID

Published Oct 17, 2026 · Updated Oct 17, 2026

IDOR in Tutor LMS 4.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to overwrite other instructors' courses via a supplied ID. Input::sanitize_array() retains the POST ID key, causing wp_insert_post() to update an existing course instead of creating a new one. Author-level access or above permits changes to course titles, content, status, and ownership, without establishing broader administrative access.
