Authorization bypass via unnegated relationship filters
Published Oct 12, 2026 · Updated Oct 12, 2026
Authorization bypass in Neo4j GraphQL Library before 7.6.4 lets remote authenticated users access denied data via relationship filters. Translation of @authorization relationship and connection filters into Cypher omits negation of the none quantifier, making it behave like some. Applications using these rules admit identities intended to be denied, permitting protected records to be read, created, or deleted.
