Authenticated SSRF via unvalidated clientAddress URL construction
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
SSRF in OpenGoofy Hippo4j 1.5.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to send HTTP requests to arbitrary hosts and ports. Four ThreadPoolController GET endpoints concatenate clientAddress directly into HTTP URLs and pass them to HttpUtil.get without destination validation. A ROLE_USER account is sufficient to scan internal services or request cloud metadata from the server's network context.
