Unauthenticated SSRF via unchecked dataset preview URI
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Server-side request forgery in DataGear 6.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute internal HTTP requests via dataset preview. The /dataSet/preview/Http handler passes a caller-controlled URI to a default HttpClient without loopback, private-range, or redirect controls. Default anonymous data-analyst access exposes the handler without authentication, allowing response-body disclosure and state-changing requests to reachable services.
