Pre-authentication broker crash via unbounded type nesting
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Uncontrolled recursion in Apache Qpid Broker-J 10.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash the broker before authentication. The AMQP 0-8, 0-9 and 0-9-1 field-table decoder recursively processes attacker-controlled nested values without a depth bound until the Java stack overflows. An unauthenticated network connection to an enabled legacy AMQP listener is sufficient to interrupt broker service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
