Memory corruption via undrained CEQ tasklet
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026
Use-after-free in Linux 6.0 erdma allows local users to corrupt kernel memory during device removal via a pending CEQ tasklet. The erdma_ceqs_uninit() teardown frees EQ buffers without draining the scheduled erdma_ceq_completion_handler(), which reads the ring and writes its doorbell record after release. Exposure requires an active erdma device and a tasklet overlapping removal; public records do not establish a reliable crash or privilege-escalation path.
