Kernel memory corruption via incomplete erdma teardown
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Resource-management flaws in affected Linux kernels allow local users to corrupt kernel memory through failed erdma object destruction. erdma_destroy_qp(), erdma_destroy_cq(), erdma_dereg_mr(), and erdma_destroy_ah() return before releasing buffers and identifiers when erdma_post_cmd_wait() fails, leaving cleanup pointers stale. Reachability requires local uverbs access and an erdma command failure that the attacker cannot force; the resulting leaks and use-after-free can exhaust resources or crash the host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
