Kernel warning via corrupted BPF trampoline flags
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
State corruption in BPF trampoline code in affected Linux kernel releases allows privileged local users to trigger a kernel warning. Verifier code assigns BPF_TRAMP_F_TAIL_CALL_CTX to tr->flags instead of preserving existing flags, dropping BPF_TRAMP_F_CALL_ORIG needed to restore the patched instruction. The sequence requires two fexit programs targeting the same tail-call-reachable BPF program and closure of the first link; published evidence shows a warning, not privilege gain or data exposure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
