CVE-2026-92479

Kernel crash via NULL completion-entry dereference

Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026

NULL dereference in the UFS driver in Linux 6.19 allows local users to crash the kernel via invalid completion-tag handling. In ufshcd_compl_one_cqe(), the warning path dereferences a NULL completion queue entry when its tag has no associated command. The fault requires single-doorbell UFS completion processing; public sources do not explain how a local user induces that state.
