Stored XSS via import preset impersonation
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Stored XSS in KeywordRush Content Egg before 11.9.0 allows remote authenticated users to plant scripts through bulk post imports. The import feature fails to check access to the selected preset, then creates the post under the preset author's identity, bypassing the importing user's script restrictions. Contributor-level access and a privileged user's preset are required; the stored script runs when someone views the resulting content.
