File creation or truncation via client-side unsafe reflection
Published Oct 7, 2026 · Updated Oct 7, 2026
Unsafe reflection in Apache Jackrabbit's WebDAV client allows remote attackers to create or truncate files via malicious repository responses. The jackrabbit-spi2dav client treats server-provided class names as instructions to instantiate classes from the application's classpath. Exploitation requires an application using jackrabbit-spi2dav, directly or through jackrabbit-jcr2dav, to contact a malicious repository or accept an intercepted response; Jackrabbit servers are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2.20.0 <=2.20.17
- Affected versionversion=2.22.0 <=2.22.4
- Affected versionversion=2.23.0 <=2.23.5
