Unauthenticated session hijack via WebDAV token reuse
Published Oct 7, 2026 · Updated Oct 7, 2026
Session reuse in Apache Jackrabbit 2.20.0 through 2.20.17 allows remote attackers to hijack authenticated WebDAV sessions. The WebDAV server attaches a cached authenticated session when a Lock-Token, TransactionId, SubscriptionId, or If header contains a matching token, without checking the requester's credentials. The flaw also affects 2.22.0 through 2.22.4 and 2.23.0 through 2.23.5; exploitation requires a reachable WebDAV endpoint and a matching token, and grants access within the matched user's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2.20.0 <=2.20.17
