Root command execution via unsanitized device names
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Command injection in Ruijie Networks RG-EW3000GX EW_3.0(1)B11P380 allows remote authenticated users to run commands as root. The user_list_note.lua backend passes an unvalidated name value into a command executed by child_guard_sync through os.execute. Exploitation requires an administrator session, management-interface access, and a matching parental-control MAC record, allowing complete compromise of the router.
