Root command execution via unescaped configuration URL
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Command injection in Ruijie Networks RG-EW3000GX EW_3.0(1)B11P380 allows remote authenticated users to run root commands via crafted URLs. The configChange cc_set handler in unifyframe-sgi.elf passes data.url to uf_get_url_config, which concatenates it into a shell command executed through popen despite incomplete metacharacter checks. Exploitation requires an administrator session and network access to web management, granting control of the router rather than an authentication bypass.
