Service interruption via packet descriptor array overwrite
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in usbredir allows local high-privileged users to interrupt service with crafted isochronous OUT packets. Starting an OUT stream with one transfer leaves its only buffer unsubmitted, so usbredirhost_iso_packet() advances beyond iso_packet_desc[] and overwrites heap memory. Exploitation requires control of a usbredir peer and the malformed stream state; the published assessment limits the consequence to availability loss.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
