Local privilege escalation via recording path race
Published Sep 29, 2026 · Updated Sep 29, 2026
Improper link resolution in TeamViewer Full Client and Host 15.0 through 15.81 for Linux allows local users to redirect privileged file operations. Cloud Session Recording validates a path before file access but fails to ensure that its resolved destination remains the one validated. Exploitation requires an authenticated local account and successful timing of the path-change race, enabling file operations outside the intended location.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
