Code execution via mismatched recording decompression size
Published Sep 29, 2026 · Updated Sep 29, 2026
Heap-based buffer overflow in TeamViewer Full Client and Host before 15.82 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted .tvs files. The session-recording decompressor uses mismatched sizes for recorded data, allowing decompression to write beyond a heap buffer. Exploitation requires a user on Linux or macOS to open the file through the Play or convert recorded session feature, and execution remains within that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
