CVE-2026-92299Network attack vector

Desktop thumbnail disclosure via ungated IPC bridge

Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026

Improper access control in Jitsi Meet Electron SDK before 10.0.5 allows context-dependent attackers to enumerate desktop sources. The preload contextBridge exposes getDesktopSources() to meeting-page scripts, and the jitsi-screen-sharing-get-sources IPC handler returns screen and window thumbnails without an active getDisplayMedia() picker. Code executing in the meeting page can retrieve desktop thumbnails at attacker-chosen resolutions without user consent or an operating-system permission prompt.
