Unauthenticated shortcode execution via unvalidated current_url
Published Sep 19, 2026 · Updated Sep 19, 2026
Code injection in WPMU DEV Forminator 1.57.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute registered shortcodes without authentication. The quiz front-action handler passes the attacker-controlled current_url parameter to do_shortcode without validating it as a URL rather than shortcode content. A publicly reachable quiz action is required, and the resulting data access or site changes depend on the capabilities of shortcodes registered by WordPress, themes, and other plugins.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
