On-device impersonation via leaked privileged PendingIntent
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Authorization bypass in Meta Horizon OS before 66.0.0.733.524 allows attackers to impersonate com.oculus.horizon through a screenshot broadcast. OVRMediaService sends a privileged PendingIntent carrying a com.oculus.horizon CallerIdentity to an arbitrary app registered for com.oculus.systemactivities.SCREENSHOT. An attacker must place an application on the headset; impersonation applies to OS endpoints that trust CallerIdentity authentication.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
