Process crash via SendPartial range overflow
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
Integer overflow in NASA F Prime before 4.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to crash FileDownlink via crafted SendPartial commands. Svc::FileDownlink adds untrusted startOffset and length as U32 values without overflow validation, accepting a wrapped range end that triggers FW_ASSERT during data-packet transmission. Exploitation requires command access and an existing source file larger than startOffset; the assertion aborts or resets the process and interrupts the deployment.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
