Process crash via unchecked partial-range arithmetic
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
Integer overflow in FileDownlink in NASA AMMOS F Prime before 4.3.0 allows attackers to crash deployments via SendPartial commands. Range validation adds attacker-controlled startOffset and length without checking U32 overflow, storing a wrapped m_endOffset below m_byteOffset. Exploitation requires command-path access and an existing readable file larger than startOffset; standard assertion handling aborts or resets the receiving process at the first data-packet transition.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
