File corruption via overflowing uplink bounds check
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
Integer overflow in FileUplink in NASA F Prime before 4.2.0 allows attackers to write beyond upload bounds via crafted DATA packets. Svc::FileUplink::handleDataPacket adds byteOffset and dataSize using wrapping U32 arithmetic, then seeks to the original offset and writes data after the bounds check passes. Exploitation requires packet access to an application using FileUplink and an open upload file; the consequence is file integrity loss and potentially large sparse-file growth or resource exhaustion.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
