Controller file reads and deletion via path traversal
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Path traversal in Jenkins Pipeline: Groovy Libraries Plugin 805.va_fc79344957d and earlier allows attackers to read or delete controller files. During library retrieval, the library Pipeline step accepts paths outside the SCM checkout and follows symbolic links to external locations. Exploitation requires permission to configure a Pipeline; crafted library content can expose resources or remove files from a test directory.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
