Credential disclosure via mis-scoped resolveScm lookup
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Credential exposure in Jenkins Pipeline: Multibranch Plugin 841.vec5b_9e1806ec and earlier allows remote authenticated users to capture secrets. The resolveScm Pipeline step performs credential lookup without the appropriate item context, allowing a configured job to resolve credentials outside the user's entitlement. Item/Configure permission and a crafted Pipeline configuration are required, and successful exploitation discloses the resolved credential.
