Unauthenticated shortcode execution via Sidebar widget output
Published Oct 3, 2026 · Updated Oct 3, 2026
Arbitrary shortcode execution in Beaver Builder Page Builder 2.11.0.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to run shortcodes through Sidebar widgets. The Sidebar module passes widget text to do_shortcode without first validating attacker-controlled shortcode content. Exploitation requires a page with a Sidebar widget that displays attacker-controlled text, such as an approved comment or one posted without moderation; the resulting behavior depends on the shortcodes installed on the site.
