CVE-2026-92000Hinoki check available

Service crash via unbounded zero-size decompression

Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026

Resource exhaustion in adm-zip 0.5.14 through 0.6.0 allows context-dependent attackers to crash Node.js processes via crafted ZIP entries. The synchronous and asynchronous decompression paths treat a declared uncompressed size of zero as disabling the zlib output cap, allowing highly compressible entry data to expand without a limit. An application must pass an attacker-controlled archive to a data-reading or extraction API, after which memory exhaustion can terminate the hosting process.
