Administrator file read via unchecked export paths
Published Jun 6, 2026 · Updated Jun 6, 2026
Path traversal in Nextendweb Smart Slider 3 3.5.1.36 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files. The replaceHTMLImage function treats attacker-controlled src and srcset values in HTML exports as filesystem paths without sufficient validation. Administrator-level access is required, and the reported consequence is limited to reading files available to the WordPress server process.
