Heap disclosure via uninitialized ResetGraphics padding

Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026

Information disclosure in FreeRDP 2.0.0 through 3.30.0 allows remote authenticated users to read stale server heap data via RDPGFX. The ResetGraphics serializer advances across rather than zeroes unused padding in a fixed 340-byte PDU, then transmits the uninitialized bytes. An active RDPGFX channel, completed capability exchange, and a server-triggered graphics reset expose 20 to 300 bytes, including live heap and GLib pointers.
