Session compromise via unisolated evaluation built-ins
Published Oct 12, 2026 · Updated Oct 12, 2026
Isolation failure in Progress MarkLogic Server allows remote attackers to compromise authenticated sessions via evaluation APIs. REST and XDBC paths including /v1/eval and /eval execute user-supplied code with access to HTTP request, response, and session built-ins instead of isolating that state. Within the 11.x and 12.x branches, versions before 11.3.7 and before 12.1.0 respectively are affected; exploitation requires attacker-supplied code to reach an affected evaluation path and user interaction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=11.0.0 <11.3.7
