Credential interception via disabled TLS certificate verification
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
Dell Terraform Provider for Redfish before 1.6.2 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read credentials via its HTTP transport. The base transport unconditionally disables TLS certificate verification, accepting untrusted server certificates for Redfish BMC connections. Exploitation requires interception of provider-to-BMC traffic, requires no attacker authentication, and exposes management traffic and credentials usable for unauthorized access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
