File disclosure via unrestricted external entity resolution
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
XXE in Apache Camel FopProducer allows remote attackers to read local files and trigger requests via crafted XSL-FO input. FopProducer enables only FEATURE_SECURE_PROCESSING on its TransformerFactory, leaving external DTDs and entities unrestricted when an alternative implementation such as Saxon-HE performs the identity transform. Exploitation requires untrusted XSL-FO to reach a FOP producer with that alternative factory selected; default JDK-transformer deployments are unaffected, and file access is bounded by Camel process permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.0.0 <4.18.5
- Affected versionversion=4.19.0 <4.22.1
