Dashboard template ACL bypass via numeric coercion
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
Improper access control in MISP 2.5.45 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to view permission-restricted dashboard templates. DashboardsController::listTemplates compares a VARCHAR permission flag with integer 0, so MySQL coerces nonnumeric flags to zero and treats restricted templates as unrestricted. Any authenticated user who can list dashboard templates can see templates reserved for permissions that the account lacks.
