Authenticated arbitrary file upload via setAvatar
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in WuzhiCMS 4.0 through 4.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to store arbitrary files through avatar upload. The member::setAvatar handler at /index.php?m=member&f=user&v=setAvatar accepts the File argument without restricting dangerous file types. A valid member session is required; the resulting server-side file write can host attacker-controlled content, while code execution depends on web-server handling.
