Information disclosure via image soft-mask underflow
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Out-of-bounds reads in Foxit PDF Reader 2026.2 and earlier and PDF Editor 13.2.6, 14.0.7, and 2026.2 allow attackers to disclose data. Image parsing insufficiently validates a soft-mask data attribute, permitting arithmetic underflow and a heap read beyond the allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open a crafted PDF, and the invalid read can disclose adjacent memory or crash the application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
