CVE-2026-91796Hinoki check available

Credential hash disclosure via unchecked SMB authentication

Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026

Protection mechanism failure in Foxit PDF Editor and Foxit PDF Reader allows attackers to leak credential hashes through crafted PDFs. The JavaScript API skips Safe Reading Mode permission checks and silently initiates external SMB authentication when processing embedded JavaScript. A user must open the malicious PDF on Windows; no product authentication is required, and the resulting NTLM response exposes credential material.
