Code execution via reentrant page object use-after-free
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Use-after-free in Foxit PDF Reader and PDF Editor allows context-dependent attackers to execute code via a crafted PDF. Reentrant page- and annotation-related JavaScript actions trigger zoom and layout work that releases page objects before later code accesses them. Affected Windows versions are Reader 2026.2 and earlier and Editor 13.2.6 and earlier, 14.0.7 and earlier, and 2026.2 and earlier; opening the file is required.
