Code execution via undersized texture buffer allocation
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in affected Foxit PDF Reader and Editor releases allows attackers to execute code through a crafted PDF. The U3D/GIF texture decoder accepts unvalidated image dimensions and size metadata, allocates a buffer of the wrong size, and writes past it while processing pixels. Successful exploitation requires a user to open the malicious document; the resulting memory corruption can execute attacker-controlled code or crash the application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
