Information disclosure via unauthorized app.activeDocs objects
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Resource exposure in affected Foxit PDF Editor and Reader releases allows attackers to read other open documents through a malicious PDF. The app.activeDocs JavaScript API omits required attribute authorization checks and returns full Doc objects for every document open in the same process. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted PDF while sensitive documents share that process, enabling their contents to be transmitted externally.
