CVE-2026-91784

Process termination via unsanitized pkill process name

Published Oct 2, 2026 · Updated Oct 2, 2026

Argument injection in cjbassi gotop 3.0.0 allows local users to terminate processes through a crafted process name and the kill action. The process-termination function passes the selected process name to pkill without preventing a leading option from being interpreted as an argument. Exploitation requires a gotop user to select and kill the attacker-named process; termination remains limited by that user's process permissions.
