Unauthenticated denial of service via memory exhaustion
Published Jul 17, 2026 · Updated Jul 17, 2026
Denial of service in IBM PowerVM NovaLink 2.2.0 through 2.2.1.1 and 2.3.0 through 2.3.2 allows remote attackers to exhaust memory. IBM identifies the vulnerable locus as the bundled WebSphere Liberty profile but has not disclosed which request-processing operation retains or allocates memory incorrectly. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the resulting memory exhaustion can interrupt the NovaLink management service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2.2.02.2.12.2.1.1
