OS command injection in Rapid7 InsightConnect Sed Plugin before 2.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The Process String and Process Bytes actions accept an expression whose command validation used a denylist, allowing disallowed sed behavior that the replacement allowlist rejects. An authenticated InsightConnect user who can supply an expression can run commands with the Linux plugin container's privileges, affecting its data and availability.
