Role-grant reinstatement via missing authorization check
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Missing authorization in Warptech Industries Warpgate before 0.28.4 allows remote authenticated users to reinstate existing role grants. The api_update_user_role handler accepts expires_at and clears revoked_at without requiring AccessRolesAssign. Any limited administrator with one unrelated permission can extend or restore a preexisting user-role assignment, but cannot create an assignment that never existed.
