CVE-2026-91090Public exploitHinoki check available

Local crash via unbounded scene-graph recursion

Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026

Stack exhaustion in GPAC MP4Box at f1219cde allows local users to crash the process by analyzing a crafted MP4 scene graph. The -nstatx path applies scene commands from the file, and gf_node_activate_ex recursively walks cyclic or malformed child nodes without a depth bound. Triggering requires local execution of MP4Box with -nstatx on the crafted file; the demonstrated consequence is process termination.
