Invalid memory access via compositor use-after-free
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
Use-after-free in GPAC through revision f1219cde allows remote attackers to trigger invalid memory access in the Compositor. The public record locates the flaw in gf_mo_get_od_id in compositor/media_object.c but does not disclose the ownership sequence that leaves the reference stale. Input must reach the Compositor from a remote source; published evidence does not establish whether exploitation is limited to a crash or permits broader memory corruption.
