Unauthenticated POS takeover via unchanged default PIN
Published Oct 3, 2026 · Updated Oct 3, 2026
Authentication bypass in snwebapps TillKit before 1.0.5 allows remote attackers to enter its privileged POS account using the default PIN. The public POS login endpoint accepts the hard-coded Manager PIN for an account created on activation without requiring a PIN change or checking user identity or WordPress capabilities. An activated installation that retains the known PIN exposes customer and site-user personal data and permits changes to store data.
